Freshman Jeff Hurd Earns 2026 Primary from MAGA Wing of Colorado GOP
Bayfield, CO – Today, local Republican activist, honored veteran, medical professional, and successful entrepreneur Hope Scheppelman announced her campaign to replace freshman liberal Republican US Congressman Jeff Hurd in Colorado’s expansive 3rd District.
Citing Rep. Hurd’s anti-conservative voting record, deceptive rhetoric to locals, opposition to President Trump, and disdain for the MAGA wing of the Republican Party, Scheppelman stood with her husband of 20 years, Steve, to declare:
“Jeff Hurd and his fake conservative puppet masters at ‘Americans for Chinese Prosperity’, the so-called AFP, tricked and lied to CD3 voters last year but they can’t deceive us any longer now that he’s exposed himself as just another liberal elitist who is dead set against President Trump and the millions of MAGA citizens like me who demand that Congress does the will of voters.”
As former Vice-Chair of the Colorado Republican Party, a 30-year medical professional, small-business owner, and a US Navy Veteran, Hope Scheppelman will be calling on her years of proven success in turning organizations around and focusing on outcome based solutions by firing failed elitists like Jeff Hurd to give consumers, patients, and citizens what they demand and expect from their leaders.
“When the people of CD3 learn what Jeff Hurd has really been up to in D.C., I know they will choose a real conservative who will fight for them and our real-world local interests, not the sold-out liberal elitists in BOTH parties who are thrilled with Hurd’s betrayal of our common sense values,” concluded Scheppelman.
Anticipating massive spending against her to deceive voters in the media, Hope Scheppelman has recruited grassroots activists and leaders from across Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District to mobilize voters, including veteran conservative Republican finance leader Tom Bjoklund, who added:
