I Pledge
As a candidate for Colorado Republican Party (State GOP) Vice Chair, I pledge to support the following items:
I will faithfully support President Trump and his agenda 47 to Make America Great Again.
I will faithfully support the RNC’s 20 promises to the American People.
I support working with the bylaws committee to change the following issues and incorporate them into our bylaws for all future leaders of the party to follow for the benefit of all Republicans in the State of Colorado and returning the Republican Party to the party of the people. It is the duty of the chair to execute all bylaws.
Bylaw Changes:
- The State GOP SEC shall approve a contract to do a full CPA audit and make it available to the SCC for review prior to any hearing.
- The Treasurer shall send a financial statement quarterly to all State GOP SCC and SEC members.
- The State GOP SEC shall approve a Financial and Political Conflict of Interest agreement signed by all State GOP elected officials (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary), contractors, or employees.
- The State GOP is committed to safeguarding the caucus and assembly process by opting out of the open primary, eliminating the necessity for a Primary Neutrality rule for elected officers and the party itself.
- The State GOP SEC will act as an advice and consent committee on major decisions such as salary, budgets, and contracts over certain limits as to dollars or time.
Additional Priorities:
- Install a “DOGE” committee to review party finances and operations. This state party efficiency committee would identify wasteful or improper spending within party operations and find opportunities for improvement in efficiencies and resources.
- Review costs and square footage needed for office space to ensure efficiency, striving to maintain consistent daily hours of operation.
- Standardize the software for communication and provide the contracted CPA with the ability and ease to import and export data with adequate backups.
- Keep a comprehensive calendar of State and County events with links to county websites.
Closing the Primary:
- Assist, provide funding, and support the Lawsuit to Close the Primary.
- The Chair must execute the Opt-Out process to close our primary and allow Republicans to choose our Republican candidates, as per the vote of the State GOP Assembly meeting in Pueblo.
Leadership Compensation:
- The State GOP SEC shall establish a pay scale for the Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary four months prior to the State GOP SCC election of officers. The State GOP will provide base pay and performance/bonus plus approved reimbursed expenses as decided by the State GOP SEC, subject to funds available. Some states pay elected officials, while others serve as patriots and honor the role without pay. Ultimately, any plan must be fair, fit our budget, and be public.
Terms of Engagement for SCC and Leaders:
To build a stronger, more effective party, it is essential to address how ideas – and the people presenting them – are treated. Slander, mockery, and baseless accusations weaken the organization and distract from its mission.
Respect is fundamental to unity. Gossip may be tempting, but it harms both speaker and listener, corroding trust. Before speaking – online or in person – ask: Is it true, and is it wholly true? Holding to this standard reduces internal strife, fosters meaningful discussions, and ensures ideas are evaluated on merit.
While outside narratives cannot be controlled, conduct within the party can. A renewed commitment to integrity and respect must start now.
- If you hear something, clarify it privately with the person involved before sharing.
- Address conflicts privately and seek resolution first.
- Focus on debating ideas rather than personal character.
Reducing internal conflict allows for a greater focus on policy messaging, fundraising, and candidate support. A unified effort will also attract more volunteers to engage with the people of Colorado, advocating for their freedoms and way of life.
