What an incredible afternoon. Over 30 strong showed up to our Meet & Greet, and the energy in that room was something special. When people take time out of their Sunday to talk about the future of Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, it tells me this movement is real … and it’s growing.
But what meant the most to me wasn’t the turnout. It was the conversations. I appreciated hearing your concerns … about our ranchers and small businesses, about healthcare costs, about protecting our water and land, about securing the border and restoring common sense in Washington. I don’t take that lightly.
I’m not running for a title. I’m running to fight for you. And the only way we do that well is by listening first.
Mesa County, you showed up. You engaged. You care deeply about the future of CD3 … and so do I.
We’re just getting started.
🚨 USA TODAY just confirmed it: Rep. Jeff Hurd is in trouble.
“Hurd already has a Republican challenger, Hope Scheppelman, a former vice chair of Colorado’s Republican Party whose campaign website prominently features a photograph of her with Trump.”
That’s me.
And here’s why this race just exploded:
Jeff Hurd voted AGAINST President Donald J. Trump tariffs.
President Trump warned:
“Any Republican in the House or Senate that votes against TARIFFS will seriously suffer the consequences come Election time, and that includes Primaries!”
Colorado’s 3rd doesn’t want weak votes.
We don’t want DC doublespeak.
We want America First.
I’m a Navy veteran. A constitutional conservative. And I will never side against the movement that put our country first.
The establishment feels it.
The base sees it.
And this primary just became a reckoning.

Twenty-three years ago today, on Valentine’s Day, you asked me to marry you. I said yes — and it is still the easiest and best yes I have ever given.
I remember that moment so clearly. The courage in your eyes. The hope. The promise of a life we hadn’t even begun to imagine yet. We were younger then, but what we built… that took strength, commitment, forgiveness, laughter, grit, faith — and choosing each other over and over again.
You are my best friend. My steady place. The one who knows my heart in its quiet moments and in its fiercest battles. You’ve seen every version of me — the dreamer, the fighter, the exhausted one, the determined one — and you’ve never stepped away.
We’ve weathered storms. We’ve celebrated victories. We’ve built a life filled with purpose, faith, resilience, and love. 20 years of marriage… and before that, the beautiful beginning of “us.” Every chapter has mattered.

Thank you for loving me when I’m strong and when I’m struggling.
