Colorado Wolves Closing In: Heading to Gunnison and Montrose Counties – Our Fight Begins Now
ROOTED IN VALUES. READY FOR CHANGE.
Hello Colorado, Hope Scheppelman here, candidate for Colorado’s third congressional district (CD3).
This is personal.
Here in La Plata County, Colorado Parks and Wildlife held a public meeting Monday night after a wolf had been spotted in May of this year between La Plata County and Archuleta.
But the truth is, wolves have already been here, and more are coming.

Governor Polis and the state of Colorado plan to release 15 more wolves between December 2025 and March 2026 into Gunnison and Montrose counties.
I have sat across from ranchers whose voices shook as they described what they have endured. Five different ranchers, five families, and each of them has lost livestock. Innocent animals are chased down, ripped apart, and left in pieces across their fields. Not by disease, not by accident, but by apex predators that were deliberately released by our own government.
And the horror doesn’t stop there.
In Grand County, wolves have stalked children. Yes, children. following them along fence lines while children were walking their sheep, lurking in the bushes.
Imagine the terror of a parent knowing their son or daughter is being watched by a predator, and they are being told by the state to collaborate with this.
This is not about environmental balance. This is about forcing rural families off their land. It is about crushing ranching under the weight of a false agenda. It’s about using taxpayer dollars to fund the destruction of our way of life.
As your next congresswoman, I will not stay silent. I will not play politics with your safety, your ranch, or your children. We must immediately remove the grey wolf from the federal endangered species list.
We must cut off taxpayer funding to this radical introduction program. And I will stand shoulder to shoulder with families who raise our food, tend our land, and are being left behind by an out-of-touch political class. Ranching built Colorado. It deserves to be protected, not sacrificed.
I am Hope Scheppelman, and I am running for Congress to defend rural Colorado, our land, our livestock, and our way of life.
We’ve been ignored way too long, and I’m going to end this now.

I am Hope Scheppelman, and I am ready to fight for you. God bless you.
God bless Colorado. And God bless America.
